Don't feel ashamed of what you like. Honestly, I have had very similar experiences, but I have found that pleasing everyone else will not make you happy. Be yourself and do things for yourself. You will find that you feel happier. <3
Oof- this hit me- the amount of times people have shamed me for liking cute things is unbelievable.
Now whenever I think of 'cute' the first thing to come to mind is "grow up"
(Might be because there's someone in my group who absolutely hates it and she always tells me to grow up cuz I'm not a kid anymore, telling me that I should be ashamed of liking them and what not)
Long story short- don't shame people over the things they love.
Honestly, it really got to me aswell- now I don't let anyone near my room whenever they happen to find my house (the girl who shames me happens to live across the street from me ^^" I get so anxious about going outside my house cuz I don't wanna bump into her)
-and I miss my pigtails so much- but not wearing them is better than being shamed- so it's fine, I guess- ♡
