That's what I was thinking. Do you really think a king would give up a Duke's daughter groomed since childhood to be the future queen for an Earl's daughter that doesn't have the slightest bit of etiquette and manners?
He has no choice...his son just embarrassed her in front of everyone... then ...his new daughter
in-law just insulted a visiting crown Prince... he doesn't want a war since aqua's country is bigger...
I love these types of stories SO MUCH, but I really kinda wished the King would get more involved... Like, even if he is the crown prince, theres no way his father - the King - would allow him to make a spectial like that, insult a nobleman's family, and accept this sham of a fiance. Like, in actuality that girl would probably be imprisoned for acting that way to a noblewoman above her rank and also a prince (all whilst in the Kings presence), nevermind the King actually allowing their engagement or marriage. Like... I know this is all a story, but some things like that make me sigh...
