The "let's go on a blind date" strategy is probably the same as "let's drink tonight" strategy, where after inviting someone after receiving an e-mail, you bring that person to a place where the e-mail sender is. They've used this strategy in "the voice next door" to bring the main couple together after a misunderstanding. Or at least I hope that's that. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
Friend, if you know he's probably misunderstanding, shouldn't you tell him instead of asking him to go for a blind date? (￣∇￣")
