I think he wants to scare her into submission, like stockholm syndrome, make her be scared first them glad to be away from her object of fear and happy to be "safe", transferring that feeling of happyness and of being safe to him. But I read the raws too and that never hapens if you read them you knouw wath happens next.

I think as a test, since his unsure if she really does have powers, his just guessing at this stage. His trying to province her to use her powers for him to see. maybe

Isn't he supposed to convince her to go to the battlefield to increase the family's reputation?(by winning her over) Why did he try to kill her despite knowing the fact that she has powers now and can (possibly) save herself?
