Clarification pls!!

So the lady that Bexan got into an argument with in the last chapter is his real mother as in biological as he said it is and that the lady who was a dancer in the previous chapters was also his "mom" but in the way that she raises him? Correct me if I'm wrong on this, its been a while since I read this, so I'm just trying to wrap the recent chapters around my head.....
