Becuz it isn't real life? It's a work of fiction in which vampires exist. Did you read the news summary on the last panel as our boy runs away from the director? There were at least 2 or 3 other scenes where this was emphasized... Methinks someone has been skipping to the naughty parts
In this day and age, if I saw someone with red eyes and fangs, I would think it was fake lenses and a fake teeth extension or sharpened canines, which I have seen in real life. I don't know why he's acting all shocked. -.-
