wish that was what happen, but he had a lot of help here and it seems to me that Yami was the one that beat him, love Asta but he couldn't finish the job alone you know...

Is it bad that I want them to solve it by making Yona the magic emperor and Asta the anti-magic emperor? Then they can work together forever :)
