While I'm also offended by him calling her that, I don't think it's meant to be an insult. Just like how she called him a bastard earlier on, it's just certain people call others that way, I guess. (Well maybe like how I call others motherf*ckers in my head, or maybe it's just some sort of endearment for the characters, or etc etc.) ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Well, b**** has far more negative connotations than bastard. But this is a translation, right, so the context the first word is being used in is probably different than it would normally be used.
Um this guy calls her a b**** even though he's exactly like the people who used to ridicule her so of course she's not going to want to let people use her weakness against her even if she tells them about it herself.
