I love haruki. I mean, that dude is all fluff lol and i want the best for him but srsly, i can see him being miserable without akihiko. He love the guy too much. And Akihiko on the other hand, he is too broken and desperate. He is on a on and off toxic relationship with ugetsu and he cant break away from ugetsu's chains. I see no hope for Akihiko/Ugetsu because all they do is poison each other. Akihiko knows this and when he said that he didnt want haruki to know his bad side, i think that's because all along, he knows that haruki likes him. And he knows that if he likes haruki back, he can be happy and boy has been wishing why could'nt he just fall for Haruki. he has been considering being with haruki over and over but still end up coming back to ugetsu. He didnt want Haruki to hate him because he feel loved and comfortable knowing that haruki loves him. He needed that safe place. That sweet escape from all the poison he getting from ugetsu. He also never made a move on Haruki because he didn't want to lose him. When he almost rape the guy, it's because he felt threatened. Haruki claims to go to his ex girlfriend. Meaning Haruki is leaving him. We see akihiko getting angry, feeling like everyone who loves him just leaves him (his parents divorce and ugetsu who keeps pushing him away) so he ended up hurting poor haruki despite trying hard not to. That hurt look on his face, is proof of him desperate call for help and forgiveness. Also akihiko cheering haruki saying he is important. And that he is always reminding haruki of his worth, feels like his way of saying that he appreciates haruki in his life. He thinks haruki can take better care of him. He did say that geniuses cant all be together and that they need that normal one to handle them. Same thing goes for his relationship with ugetsu, both of them wishes for success and gets hurt when one is better than the other dragging each othe down. He knows. He knows full well that he can be happy with haruki. So keeps him. He keeps leading him on. And poor haruki just keeps on hoping and hurting. If only akihiko can break those chains with ugetsu once and for all.
Yes i know everyone is hating on akihiko right now but man, i think he can only he saved by Haruki. And everyone hoping that Haruki ends up with someone better but i really think haruki will always think of akihiko even if he does end up with someone new. He did agree that in terms of loving someone, he and akihiko is the same(when they were watching fireworks) they love so much even when they hurt and get tired. I think he will still love akihiko and never get totally over him.
