I'm copying this from Hataki's reply to another comment regarding what Ruka has said to Nemu:
"yeah. all his lines, intentionally meant to have another meaning.
"He should of dried his hair before leaving my house"
"i called him to my place last night"
"i love him"
"Your relationship will grow stale"
"Doing things your partner enjoys will kill the relationship" (that's normal. it's called dating bitch.)
(and these are only a handful)"
Ruka IS as bad as we think, he's a straight up ass.

I was just responding to the part where you said that Ruka's not as bad as we think. It's great that he's mellowed out now, but he was still a terrible person in the previous few volumes, so now with the raws showing him to be repenting, he was as bad as we thought back in those volumes.
Also, if this were real life, no sane and self-loving person would allow a person like Ruka back into their life. Japanese stories tend to have this over pleasing thing where everyone must be forgiven no matter how horrible they were - see A Silent Voice. Sure, they can be forgiven, but that doesn't mean they have to be a part of your life. This part isn't directed at you or your comment by the way, I'm just venting my feelings regarding this forgiveness theme.

I know he's really bad on the previous chapters that's why my comment is when after you see the current remaining chapters unreleased (here).
I already watched A Silent Voice, I enjoyed the feeling of watching it, the pain, the happiness afterwards, the emotions, cuz you see, it doesn't make sense if you always connect and view a fictional character and a fictional story into the real world.
Though ofcourse it will be a different story when its happening in real life. There might be an identical cases but we're talking about a certain story here, I don't go overboard stressing myself in fictions.

I'm hearing impaired, so I connected more to the story than the average person, which is why the whole forgiveness thing of even characters who refused to repent and even continued their behavior made absolute 0 sense. This should be the case for even people without hearing issues. I don't care if Ruka repents, he most likely doesn't even feel bad that he hurt Nemu, only that it showed Maya's real side and that he didn't like that. He's still a shit person. Fictional stories in the modern world are written to mimic the real world, it's your choice to not contextualize it in a real world sense. There's no sense in that to me, since the stories are often trying to say something about the real world. It's not going overboard in stressing about fiction, it's reading or watching a story and thinking about it, deeply if the story calls for it. Again, that's your choice to not read deeply, I just don't see the point in mindless reading or consumption of stories unless it's erotica or trash fiction we read for fun.
Gotcha guys sum raws to calm 'em angry tits down.
You can stop cursing Ruka after getting through the raws cuz yo homeboy's not that bad as you think he is.
(f to the flying curses) ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
