Attractions are hard to control. I’m definitely NOT saying that this guy should be attracted to a child but the author makes it clear that he knows it’s wrong and he seems to be doing a good job at controlling himself. He’s not exploiting her affection for him or taking advantage of her which is his redeeming factor and I certainly hope he keeps it up until she’s of legal age.
