As far as I understand from the omegaverse manga I've read, that's a detail that varies with each author/series so it's unknown for this one. With the way the series goes, it gives me the impression that bonding is permanent. I only remember reading about this topic in one series (can't recall the title), but in that one if the bond was broken it had a high chance of causing mental trauma or damaging the omega's mental state. It wasn't specified on how it's done, but it was viewed as a thing to avoid, or just take great caution when deciding to mate.
I wonder what happens if one of them dies, would that break the bond?
Im really happy that they got to be a family but is there no way for a alpha-omega contract to be broken? What if the alpha ends the contract or binding? Would that not be possible? I really dont know.
