I wonder if.. and it's just a theory but I remember a couple years ago there was that thing about scientists working on developing a way for gay spouse to biologically have a child with both their DNA's. Something where they could use two sperms to fertilize the same egg (not exactly sure how that works but..) What if this is like a "Jane the Virgin" situation where they got to wrong sperm donor to fertilize the surrogate mother but in this situation they accidentally used two sperms on the same egg? Idk just an idea, probably not likely but that's the only way I can think that they would both Biologically be the father
