I'm starting to read this and it looks really interesting but at the same time I feel detached from all the characters... maybe that's intentional of the author that none of the characters inspire sympathy...
I know how it ends already so can someone please spoil me on some points so I can get a feeling for the story? What are the romantic connections in the story? Does Clark actually loves or cares for anyone? either Alex the murderer or the doctor? Does the doctor loves Clark or his patient? Does Alex has any romantic feelings for Clark? Just wanted to understand the romantic connections in the story.
