Saotome has absolutely no moral imperative to help someone who is stupid and desperate enough to poison themselves for a measly win. well if u watch someone dies, knowing you can do something to make it not happen, then it's normal to try to do things in your power to help right? after all, not doing anything is basically the same as killing in this case (at least that's what would the helper would think)
