I think it's because he didn't know that Kaoru-kun was still so insecure and doubtful about their relationship. They both worked pretty hard to get to this point. There's the symbolism of the ring. But in spite of all of that Kaoru still has one foot out of the relationship, ready to exit at any time for the sake of Hara's happiness.
But it's not. Kaoru-kun wants to think he is being selfless but this move was actually incredibly selfish. This is all about his anxieties that he still cannot look past to trust in Hara and their love. If I were Hara I would be *incredibly* angry and need the space. For so so long he has, in so many ways, said and demonstrated his love and devotion and Kaoru refuses to believe in it. So much so that he made a promise he never had any intention of keeping. I would be angry and questioning whether it made any sense to remain in the relationship.

Are you saying Hara is considering wether is relationship has a meaning? Aka wether he should end it?
I get what you mean but I personally wouldn’t need space from what happened. I could be mad and probably would argue for Kaoru to cut the string. But i just dont see how getting out of the house would help me or the relationship.

i think it's because he doesn't want to make a harsh decision and that's why he needs a little space. I can relate to that actually since i'm the same. For hara, discovering what kaoru was doing showed him kaoru didn't believe in their relationship as much as he did and at the moment he may not be able to believe in kaoru's promises of wanting to stay with him forever, and he may even have some doubts about his importance to kaoru... he may want kaoru to show him he really wants him and maybe kaoru should've tried to stop him when he left...i think hara wants to be wanted as much as he wants kaoru, but what kaoru did showed him kaoru was ready to let go

Mood. I kind of understand why he wanted a little space, but leaving your partner in that kind of situation is a bad idea. We know Kaoru's habit of leaving for the sake of his partner's happiness, and him seeing Hara being uneasy with him, looks like Kaoru may leave and disappear while Hara is still collecting his thoughts.

Sure. But the manga isn't about you lol. People have different reactions to different situations and this is Hara's, which was a perfectly normal one. I don't know that he is even thinking about how to "help the relationship". He just needs his own space to think without saying or doing something he'll regret. That's my take.
I’m not mad at him but why does he have to leave the house to think about that. I don’t see how being away from his lover is going to help him decide what to do, and what is he even going to think about? A way to persuade Kaoru ? I’m just confused with this decisio of Hara
