I have a question. I’ve seen people saying about Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan’s wedding but I’ve already read all the chapters updated in ExiledRebels and have never seen any details regarding a wedding. In the Banquet Extra, there’s a mention that they’re already partners in cultivation. Is the wedding just explained vaguely in the story or is there a separate chapter where it’s not combined with the main story and extras?

yeas in the novel the weeding happen off screen in the story. they do mantion they did all the steps of getting married, but it never show to us the actuall wedding party in the novel. we can only assume they had a party with their friends. but they totally married, since they do all the steps to be married couple. in this story you don't really need a priest to be married XD

I think it was when they visited Lotus Pier. Remember when Wei said that they'd come back to prostrate in front of Madam Yu and JFM's memorials? They did it twice and I think the translator said prostrating three times means to be asking for marriage.

Come to think of it, I remembered that Lan Zhan said that they’ve prostrated thrice so they’re already considered husband and wife lol.

Actually, I read some interview with MXTX and she said that they married before they had sex for the second time. So, given the 'Everyday is Everyday' rule, it happened the next day XD

The wedding happens off-screen in the novel. It does require some explanation though. In traditional Chinese weddings, the three prostrates are gestured to three different entities. First to the sky and the earth, second to the ancestors (which includes the parents), and third to your partner. WeiYing and LanZhan technically completes the first two at Madame Yu and and Uncle Jiang’s memorial, so they could have very well completed the last part of the ceremony on their own in a very minimalistic way. It’s a little disappointing I know... I actually read a very well written fan fic in the form of an arc regarding what an elaborate ceremony would be like for them just to satisfy that curiosity. It was beautiful btw.

It is unfortunately in Chinese. If you can read Chinese, I’ll paste the link in this thread. This person posts their work on an app called Lofter. If you can’t, then maybe I can try to get in contact with the author and see if I can translate it if I have spare time.
