Hmm, I see...(⌒▽⌒) Yeah I do agree that we may divulge a bit more into Niel's past relationship history, but possibly Jensen may interrupt his thoughts to bring him back to the present moment and make him realize ever so closer that Jensen is a much more of a promising version of what it's like to have another half; if I'm making any sense. (￣∇￣")
His first love or ex, Eugene I think was his name, I get the vibe that he was either a chill dude that seemed ever so charming that gave off probably mixed signals to poor Niel so maybe when it came to light that Niel had feelings for him he may have been like grossed out & repulsed of Niel's feelings or either that first love had alter motives where he may have been a bit of a player like possibly curious of what it was like to be with another guy, but in the end hurt Niel by backing out of said relationship ever taking bloom.
I do definitely think the author will take advantage of incorporating this ex character's existence physically present in future chapters like a face off between the semes; of who is a better guy or for Jensen to protect him and emphasize his feelings or something.

And "The eyes of Sora" and "Where the Dragon's Rain Falls" from "tricky plot team".

I took a look into the webtoons you mentioned and I had all those on my 'want to read' section including, "Chew and Swallow" with the exception of "The Eyes of Sora", but I definitely was feeling the tags on "The Eyes of Sora" so I've now added it also.
You are very right, "jealousy" plays on a fine line of good & bad so it definitely has to be in moderation and done right because if not it could play part in a recipe for disaster!
