I wanted to know too. Honestly, it seems like he made the choice after he saw the poster of her movie about the monsters...I remember the guy talked about how he hated unoriginal movies like that and she seemed to agree at the time. Maybe it's because he couldn't be with the only person who showed that she loved him. Idk but i liked this story regardless. I could tell from early in the story he would probably kill himself though
I think Taeyoung just lost the beauty that he wants to relay on his films which is Ami which is symbolized by that movie poster "Monster". He literally lost all the good in his life including the place where there are memories of him being with Ami.

ok so this was really sad. and already have kind of a thought of the girl leaving the guy at the start already. but im kinda confuse why did he kill himself? was it bc of the girl?? im sorry but im just kinda dumb here
