The note's ambiguity

The translation team did an amazing job, but I just want to say that the original words have some ambiguous connotation imo. The note in Chinese can be understood as "just don't die/ as long as you don't die." Here we can understand it in two different ways in this context. One is "you're sick whatever, just don't drop dead" or "as long as you don't die I'll be with you" since He Tian was asking Mo if he would still be together with him if he were to become ugly.
