That is not a reasonable excuse. the solution doesn't require much tech in the first place. the fact that a drug may react with other receptors is not something new. And the story looks like it was set in our current time, where it would be easy enough to deduce this even before we proceed with any trials even.
I'm not blaming the author for not bothering to do proper research or anything. It is just a webtoon after all. I'm just pissed off for trivial things. so don't mind me~
