But also, we don't properly know what comes after death -- if Hell exists then they'll be tortured forever, which is arguably worse than injury, but if it or anything like it doesn't exist, you'd be 100% correct. We just don't have all the facts.
but wouldnt the bad people suffer more if they seriously injured than if they were killed. ofc dying is terrible but if these people want to see the bad guys really learn, i feel like killing them without them ever seeing the error of their ways is not satisfying revenge
