I think(?) from my understanding is that Sensei's flaw is that he loves the gems.
If he prays, not just the Lunarians, all sentient life would cease including the gems.
So that is his defect.

I dont know who I should root for any more. Probably sensei but if he could just explain why hes acting the way he did then he'd be in the right. So many thoughts running through my head
