I have the exact same problem and I was coming to the exact same conclusion. Let's just go with the flow. I am hoping and waiting for them to reunite. I do not know why Uke cut ties with seme because it seems like he did it to protect him but he is still yakuza, just in another group. I just have to wait and see.
I'm just gna live w the fact that I will never completely get these group dynamics and make do with vague assumptions (in this case that somehow doumeki is tracking down a member from a different group at the same time as yashiro) idk how and idk why but its happening and they're gna reunite.
