That's meh.
The wolf didn't give a shit about the rabbit until he hears his cousin jerked him off. Here he goes mad then they love each other.
There's no feeling, no real interesting plot. That's just something to read when there's nothing left (like today in my updates, enough si I didn't try to remember the names). I surely won't read it again.

but at first did he simply not care about the rabbit because he was under all that medication that made his emotions almost non existent?

I don't agree (i think a lot of it was lost in translation ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ cultural nuance and the like), but sadly, this is a fairly accurate assessment, yes.

Well, I agree with OP! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Well yes the wolf does not care for the rabbit but it’s understandable why, first they only just met and second he was on medication. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have the right to love him because he didn’t care at first. So he had every right to be angry at his cousin, honestly I think he deserves more punishment for it.
    I rest my case XD

But nooooooo let's slam on the guy that was literally on anti-depressants and mood stabilizers so he wouldn't permanently turn into a wolf and kill people. The cousin should've gotten a heavier punishment especially since he not only molested Kaede but also touched someone else's spouse.

I think Ren genuinely loves Kaede. If there was nothing between them then Kaede's effort to turn him back once he had shifted would've been wasted. I think a part of him was still holding on which is why he fled instead of causing more damage.

Yea I was kinda upset over it :/ Upset enough that I almost breezed through the fact that a man he barely knows touched him without the uke knowing. I'm usually fussy over those things so I was surprised I almost missed it lol

People seem to think romance/love is something that happens instantly. They were literal strangers. Kaede was used as a bargaining chip for his village to receive funds and food. Ren was on some sort of mood stabilizer to keep him from shifting into a giant wolf for the rest of his life. Neither of them loved each other in the beginning but once the air was cleared they made way for their relationship to improve.

It's just annoying that people are still hung up over the way Ren first acted and just skip over the fact that his cousin molested Kaede when he was passed out and used the lame ass excuse of "he looked like he was in pain." If he was that concerned he woulda dragged Ren's ass back in there and made him take care of his fiance. You don't go around diddling other peoples' significant others lol

To answer to you all about the "can't fall in love instantly", I do agree. And that's the problem here. There was no sign of him falling in love (a real, interesting sign, him pulling on his eyelashes was not a great enough sign to me, just a start).
It was done way too quickly and the way they used the cousin for the fast development made it look so bad and ridiculous. Even the "mate with a beast so he gets his human form back" was bad.
Almost looked like it was written with no skill by some teenager girl who wanted a gay Twilight. You can hate me if you want, for what I care, but it had potential and the author made the story go to waste with their poor skill.
