I tried!

It's not a bad read! But the female lead is so not assertive that it makes it a bit frustrating, I wanted to keep following cause he's an interesting character, but I thing I'll stop here and come back after, like, at least 30 more chapters hoping she'll find some spine in the meantime xD (because the plot makes me curious, but I like my powerful female protag better!)

She doesn’t need a spine for this. She’s not weak either, she’s not exceptionally strong but she’s not weak. She cries because she thinks she can’t pursue her love and has to reject him

Her crying so much isn’t because she’s weak but because she feels sympathy towards him and is sad that she can’t help him because of her mark

I don't mean to say she's weak, just I feel a little powerless reading of her and while crying doesn't mean being weak, I feel like it'd be more impactful if she didn't cry as much, cause I like to feel the tightness in my chest when the protagonists try to endure all the bad things and the relief of when they cry after the build-up. She's not a bad lead, it's just not the kind of lead I prefer. Of course, you can like her more than the kind of female lead I'm into! Maybe some might find the assertive kind of protagonist TOO MUCH sometimes, I can see that! It's all about preferences, but I get what you're saying!

No I understand your preferences CSU’s I have the same, I love me a strong female lead but I think for this story she works well
