She wasn't in a hostage situation long enough to develop stockholm syndrome. Stockholm syndrome is when someone is held captive and they start to develop trust or sympathy for the captor. Like someone who is kidnapped by a person that had a horrible childhood could start to feel sorry for the captor and treat them kindly leading them give up on escaping or not press charges. Basically, you dismiss your kidnapping and you take the side of the kidnapper. This girl wasn't being held captive so she had choices. She was also attracted to the guy and she came to the conclusion that between a life back home and a life with the barbarians, the one with the barbarians was more appealing to her.
