I understand you. But maybe the tranlators just translate it like that. Or maybe the one who gave birth is called wife. If you're uncomportable with it just change in your head. That's what I do. I read wife as husband. But i don't mind him being called a wife. I just like it like that ;)

You are not the only one; it makes me question sometimes when I am reading, after some time away, if I am reading the correct story; a male and female story instead of yaoi. Really annoying, but still a great story! Will also keep going until the end.
