Actually it seems that this time there's hope she won't fall back in love with the initial ML and will fall in love with someone new (maybe the doctor she's supposed to marry in her future life?).
For one - and the obvious big hint to me - at the end of the prologue when she "meets" with a dude and his face is blurred and meeting him triggers her return to the future, we know for certain that this dude is A. not the abusive ML, B. someone new whose mere presence she's apparently not allowed to know of, C. why censor a character's face if they're not going to be supremely important to what I can only assume to be the future of our main character?
Not only that but the manga seems Very Self-Aware of how selfish and abusive the initial ML is and already you can see several sets of red flags about his true character from the prologue and glimpses we've seen of him that make him hateable right off the bat - his stalkerish tendencies, his controlling habits of keeping her away from other men, the obvious foreshadowing of rape and/or abuse, all signs of a controlling love interest from the get-go who should've been ditched in an instant - and while we don't know the catalyst for his abusive behavior it's pretty clear from the beginning that he was a shitty person all along
Not only that but you gotta remember she's travelling to the future too. A future where the ML doesn't exist. Which only means that, aside from probably keeping the ML alive somehow to torment her in the future, we're also going to have to pay attention to the people who are alive in the future atm (such as her supposed fiancee we know shit about or the "friend" her sister-in-law said knew about her). It definitely looks to me too that there's another love interest (A true love interest) floating around and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if MC overcomes her initial infatuation to ML when she thinks he's able to be "Redeemed" to falling in love with whoever she runs into at the end of the prologue who sends her to the future inexplicably. Certainly seems like it's heading in that direction so honestly I have hope for this one lol
I totally agree with you, it doesn't seem the typical plot at all, and it seems interesting ^^
Although from the preview I hope that she ends up with someone else other than the "high school boyfriend", he still is the only one to appear in the cover so there is still a chance she'll end up with him anyway (kind of The Abandoned Empress where the ML changes personality after everything)
she says that she hates the guy and she will avoid him, lets watch how she falls in love with him again typical plot
