I don’t know if Chiwoo wants space so much as he doesn’t want physical contact cause of his past trauma with Jihyun. We see in the recent chapter that Chiwoo felt disappointment just cause Kyujin can’t walk home with him. I think Chiwoo is more attached to Kyujin than he realize. He’s just afraid their closeness might trigger Jihyun to get violent again.
I’ll admit that Kyujin is clingy and some people may find that annoying. But to the point of being toxic? That’s a bit of an exaggeration.
Kyujin is way too clingy and annoying imo. He doesn't give Chiwoo any space to breathe. Goddamn that would be annoying for me if a guy liked me and continuously did that.
Jihyun on the other hand is a confused, obsessed psycho who doesn't understand his feelings for poor Chiwoo and further destroys their friendship by being violent towards everyone that gets close to him.
Jihyun needs therapy and Kyujin needs to understand the meaning of space.
