Story is remnisicent of "Shoemaker's elves", (but of course, only the part where the tiny human helps humans make something...)
There are two ways I think this story would go...
1. The girl grows into a woman, and soon falls in love, gets married, and has children. By then, her little friend has decided to help her covertly, hiding himself and helping her family with handiwork in secret. The woman, soon turning to a grandmother, decides to tell her grandchild this story in a form of a fairytale. (I imagine that it will begin when her granddaughter cries because of her broken doll and after the tale finds it fixed.

2. They end up together. It's less likelier to happen, given their height difference, and besides, the two only view each other as friends (for now). However, I can't help but think that they have potential, anyway.
They don't have to have a family, they can simply be together. How sweet is that?!

It has been a fantasy of mine to see a tiny boy and a human girl, because although it seems troublesome, it seems fun to entertain in one's mind.
