Spoilers ahead since im reading the novel

Okay im at ch212 in the novel but fck after that chapter, all my excitement went down. Don't get me wrong, the story is still awesome and super exciting but i just really dont get why the author had to include romance in this??? It was alrdy perfect the way it is. Idk i love shoujo and bl okay but there are times when i read shounen, it stays as shounen and no romance (my preference)

I dun hv anything against Cha Hae In. I actually dun mind her crushing on jinwoo but seriously i prefer if jinwoo didnt show any interest. Idk man but suddenly him liking her felt so FORCED!!! AND OUT OF CHARACTER!!! Hes a guy thats so addicted in leveling up and killing monsters so suddenly him having interest is so??? CH212 was so fcking cheesy and cringy i had to skim fast....

Also i got mad when jinwoo said to her "youre the only friend i have" like wtf jinwoo?? So what is jinho then?? Your slave??? And after that awesome scene where u fought thomas and whole scavenger guild for his sake.... u even cured jinho's dad (no im not saying this in a BL way nor am i shipping them) but literally for the past 200 chapters, the focus was on the action side. I mean yea, there were some scenes with jinwoo and cha hae in but tolerable and it didnt feel ooc (that time) and after that, cha hae in barely appear in the story and then suddenly around ch211 to 212?? Idk i just cant accept it. It totally ruined the flow

I dun hate cha hae in tho but i just hate the forced relationship in the story. Ughhhhhh i wanted her to stay as a friend instead but sigh...

I really lost the will to continue....

I don't read the novel, but I read some comments a while back saying that even though this follows the novel plot perfectly, the way they present it slightly differs from the novel as well. I'm not saying it won't follow that but maybe there'll be slight differences that will make it less forced and make more sense? I don't think they'll take out the whole romance part since it would be too much but let's hope they make an effort to at least present it better here in the comic... sad they didn't know how to manage that when everything else is beyond amazing.

Like you said, I don't hate her character in fact I'm happy that there's a female character as strong as her (since most are only male) but if there hadn't been any romance at all it would have been fine too. They could have hinted it and just left it at that too but well.

This is just a suggestion but, you should try reading all the way to the end. Sure, the romance may feel out of place but the author is truly trying to show that even though he is a hardcore leveling kind of guy, he still has his human emotions attached to him and wishes to grow up with the regular human interactions, love. BIG SPOILER WARNING AHEADSo at the end, jin woo had the option of living in a different dimension to live with beings more like him or stay on earth. He chooses to stay on earth despite not having the chance to battle/level up any longer because he wants to cultivate the potential human relationships he missed out on because of his powers. With Cha Hae In, the author shows that Jin Woo is realllly interested in her at the end of the story where there’s no drama by having him make cute random encounters himself so they can spend time together. The fact that he likes her during all the drama and tries to convey that really shows the humanity still left in him and his desire to lead a somewhat normal life. But, what stops him from truly pursuing her during the drama is his sense of justice to help others and the fact he’s too busy trying to fight the war himself. All in all, if there were no monsters going around, Jin Woo wouldn’t have an internal conflict of choosing between the girl he likes and saving the world. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Oh yeah i got that feeling too. I read the webtoon first then went for the novel cause i couldn't wait anymore (i read from the start). Idk but for me jinwoo in webtoon is more kind than the novel? Not saying hes bad in novel but since its in his pov, i get to see more his true chara and it grew on me and now i totally love it. So i rly felt betrayed after ch212

I guess need to wait years before they reach ch200 in novel. Rly hope dun include that cringy scene but i wanna cry, im trying to read ch213 now but i rly cant get past it. I literally wanna cry cause i was at peak of excitement before that ch ╥﹏╥
