he's still a subpar male lead nobody likes tsundere characters if they keep acting tsun without the dere he's not bad but lol i just can't see their relationship as romantic
yeah. I think thats the problem.
I feel a lot of people whould love him if he were the 2ml, but since we have really high expectations fot the ml, the things that would make the 2ml "unique" and "lovable" turn into the ml's "bmistakes" and "bad traits"
Just like in that one manhwa whose name i cant remember, they all started hating on the ml because he turned into a bit of an alcoholic after he thought the fl died. Like what do you want him to do, stay fresh and shiny after the love of jis lifes gone?!?!
But then when the 2ml expreses grief in an incorrect way its "aw, he cares so much he doesnt know what to do" and im gonna stop cause ive gone off track again. damnit.
I honestly crack up whenever I see people hating the ml or saying that he’s a complete jerk. I’m sitting here thinking that he didn’t do anything to deserve all this hate (≧∀≦). This type of relationship is called playful rivalry, it’s mutual. Obviously their relationship goes from hate to love (though I’m sure they don’t actually hate each other). I’m 99.99999999% sure that the guy’s gonna become nicer when he realizes he likes her. I’d say he’s definitely not the worst jerk I’ve ever seen, the feeling I get from him is the type who teases who he likes. Man, I wonder how some people will handle other stories if they can’t even handle this dude, they’d probably drop dead from anger if they read some manga’s with absolute terrible ml’s lmao. If you wanna have a main character to hate, then just read: Dear Sa-chan, then you might think all the jerk mc’s that you’ve seen are angels.
