I think yuki helps adds spice/motivation to uenoyama. I do understand where you're coming from but you have to also understand that yuki shaped his friends. So the author wants to show how they became who they are today.
Plus uenoyama needs to face the fact there is another side of mafuya he hasn't seen yet. So he can treasure our little mafuya pun more and spoil him in love ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Sooo done with the author making Yuki OH SO PERFECTLY AMAZING.. Tired of seeing uenoyama being ignored. Really, yuki this yuki that, he's not even here anymore but the author keeps bringing him over and over just to make him look like some kind of matchless character, ugh so done
