what bothers me about joel and chase is not the age gap but rather 1. Joel is Jesses' father -- how weird is that? falling in love with your son's friend. You're supposed to treat your son's friend as if they are your son not leering at them. 2. Chase is still in high school. Not sure if he legally he is an adult yet. Also keep in mind that any age mentioned in the series will be Korean age. So if he is 19 he is actually 18. 3. It makes no sense to me that Jesse hasn't revealed to Chase that Joel is his dad yet even though he clearly doesn't want them to be together and thinks that Joel might actually be doing indecent things with Chase. This plot point is ridiculous.
