I just finished reading up on this, and I'm wondering the exact same thing! LOL! Like he was being drugged, and the drug wears off. That's why she kept giving him the "flower love wine" or what ever it was called. But they said it's addictive. So he'd go through some type of withdrawal, you would think. I figure it might be mentioned later about it. Hopefully!
