i agree to what you are saying how the duke show cases that he does have feelings for her but then he himself seem like he's still unsure or maybe not acknowledging he definitely love her as an other half, a lover rather than just him being grateful that she helped him out

He's shy and you know about his past just as much as she know and at this point she's basically forcing him to say the words and that alone is making him doubt his feelings towards her
We know that his feelings for her is more than just being grateful but she continuously ask him the question to a point where he's doubting his feelings for her. He's a shy fellow who doesn't have pleasant experiences with other females except Adele and she knows that.

See Adele is a straightforward person and she's sure of her feelings and wants reassurance from the Duke. She wants to know if she's loved and not just being used to solve his "Lady" problems.
I understand how Duke Felix feels actions speak louder than words and he's been doing everything to showcase that he does love Adele. But Adele is trying to force him to say the words "I love you" as if though those words have much meaning. Its probably hard for him to say those words because he probably thought that she knew just by the way he treated her. He opened up about his past and how it affected him so one would expect that she would be a bit more sympathetic towards him and his feelings.
It's irritating that she is threatening to say I love with the engagement KNOWING how he feels about her. Yes I understand she wants reassurance but like you see him struggling everytime you ask him the question at some point you should understand its not easy for everyone to say those words Adele
I also want to make it clear even if someone says "I love you" that doesn't mean they really love you. With these kind of Mangas/Manwhas especially. They can say those words to your face but say it to someone else just as easily. So for everyone thinking that Adele is in the right think about it please. You can make someone question their feelings for you if you continuously push them in a corner. Its not easy for everyone to say those words with such ease.
