I have 6 ear piercing (2-4) never got infected.
You are supposed to use desinfectant not anti-biotics. Like you wash you hand apply desinfectant on the new holes and the earing. Play with it a bit so the desinfectant get inside the hole and repeat morning and evening for like a few week.

my ear get pierced when I was child yeah but I wanted to add 7 more. Cuz I still think that’s hella cool. but that gone bad cuz it get infected :(. So I tried again, but that time I gone to a really expensive piercing saloon. I took some topical antibiotics too. Result? It gone infected again and my money gone for nothing
