Sure. The thing is that the younger brother wasn’t aware of how serious is an incest relationship, he was not serious about it at all, treating it lightly. I think the reason the older brother hit him wasn’t because he was angry (but maybe that too) but mostly because he wanted to make a fake impression on others that they don’t get along in order to prevent any possible suspicions about the sick nature of their relationship. In order for it to be possible (since they are just in school) keeping it in secret is very important unless they don’t want to get separated... that’s why the older brother was angry with the younger one not understanding the importance of this matter and being ignorant.

Basically since the older brother wants to keep up the front, wants to pretend everything is ok so he tries to make his brother continue living in “the sun”. The younger brother tho found out how comfortable it is to be in the shadow (he basically fakes his real self in school etc in order to make his older brother happy). In other words younger brother pretends to be normal since that’s what the older one wants but at this point he basically already isn’t. And he likes the shadow where his older brother is. Just continues to pretend for The others sake
In other words the “smell of sun” is basically the older brother convincing himself that the younger brother can “live on normally” even though he already dragged him together with himself to the darkness. Where the darkness is of course the one type of relationship you definitely shouldn’t be in, the investors one.
