According to ch50 and Ed's thoughts - yes, they did break-up.

Ed said some really really nasty things to McQeen, purposely choosing harsh words to hurt MQ. Well, mission accomplished. ;_; Even though Ed at the end 'changed his mind' and ran after McQueen, he instantly realized/interpreted (from MQ's expression) that he wouldn't be forgiven.

Personally, I feel so sorry for McQueen, he's such a misunderstood character in this story. ;_; Other characters are dumping their shit, responsibilities and troubles on his shoulders and blame MQ for everything or expect the world+magic from MQ. That's just not fair.
I hope MQ will find somebody to love and be loved in return, he so deserves it. <3

Ed knew what was he getting into.

I do believe Ed loves McQueen, but at the same time I also think that Ed saw MQ that he *wanted* to see instead of the true MQ: Ed didn't object or challenge MQ, didn't ask for explanations, didn't voice his worries and inner turmoil, etc when he should have, because if he did, things might have gotten complicated. Ed chose to see and be in love with the simple, 'comfortable and sexy' MQ, his savior, instead of the real MQ.
The real MQ, who, among other things also was hurt by many people in the past and thus is extra slow when opening up to others; the real MQ who also is a tough and therefore - a very successful businessman; the real MQ, who doesn't romanticize nor demonize filming porn - it's just daily business for him (nothing to be shameful, sorry or sad about as he is able to clearly separate work and personal life).

The things Ed found out about MQ in the last chapters - they obviously didn't fit his previous simple 'comfortable and sexy' MQ version anymore. MQ all of a sudden turned into a very complicated person. Unfortunately, instead of manning up and finally dealing with his piled-up inner hurts and turmoils (worries over his new-found porn fame, discomfort for filming porn in the first place, Chang, taken money, lost job, insecure future, about Ryan, etc), instead of having a calm and honest conversation with MQ, Ed snapped/chose to lash out at MQ, blame MQ for pretty much everything.

It's all really sad. ;_;
Can't wait for ch 51, even though I don't envision anything good happening for a while, if at all. ;_; (I'll keep fingers crossed, though, a girl can dream)

The porn dvd with ryan was about a real serial rapist with real victims who experienced such violence. Making a porn out of such incidents have the message that violation and traumatizing experience that real victims of rape felt can be the source of masturbation for others. It is not a fantasy roughplay rape typical in porn but it's a real life rapist with real life victims.
What would the victims and their families think if they ever saw that porn dvd that McQueen made? Ed had the right to belittle him cuz Glenn really disrespected the victims.

Exactly what I'm trying to say ...thank god that someone agrees on this with me ....people are constantly saying " oh I wish they would get back together " I mean HELLO the guy just made a porn out of a real, serious, and traumatizing incident....it's like someone would make porn out of Jeffery dahmer the rapist and murderer. It's unfair too cruel for survivors and victims families..

All I know guys..is in the Novel SPOILER : They end up together. Ed does end up getting raped by chang and dumped on McQueen's lawn. The rape was brutal apparently. BUT the ending was happy...so can we get along and watch it unfold guys? Lol(￣∇￣")

Well, now that I know this I will have to buy the chapters every week like I do and just wait to binge read until the end. I may cry too hard if I have to wait every week to see how it ends. Thanks for the spoiler.

I'm sad how this story is so quickly mutating into yet another rape story. It was so lovable at the beginning (1st volume), it's really sad how all went down the drain in the 2nd volume. ;_;

I'm aware that Asian market has been catering rape stories to suits readers' tastes (yes, it's a real thing, apparently statistical majority of readers love/want/expect to see ukes being forced against their will at least at least to some extent - or at least that's what the publishing corporations/big shot editors seem to believe), but personally I'm really tired of seeing nearly every story being degraded this way.
Nearly every story has a uke where he cries while having sex, where he says 'no'/'stop' yet it is disregarded, where his opinion does not matter, where he then miraculously loves being ignored/disregarded/bullied/etc and then - miraculously again - falls in love with his seme who treats him badly.

Walk on Water had such a huge potential in my eyes, such a unique and quite realistic story (vol 1), yet it was spoiled, like many other stories, with seemingly canon rape/forced sex scenes. W.T.F. :(
