Maybe it feels rushed bc it starts from when she's already in the academy which is initially in the later part of the first version?

Is more like the old version developed Katarina's relationships with everybody slowly at the same time as her plans. When you see all that work in the old version and then see this new one the difference is startling.
But since it seems the anime is going to be about the first version, I'll try and see this one as a "what if" kinda thing. At the very least should be interesting since all the characters are like they were supposed to be.
I agree with you about the "what if" Thing. I've always wondered about what would happen if she'd reincarnated when she's already a "villain" So I'm pretty content with this version
Is this the version that's gonna be animated? If so, all the precious memories and bonds she formed as a child with everybody in the old version are gone, in comparision this version feels rushed and the emotional deep isn't there anymore ╥﹏╥
