Yeah but it doesn't mean she wasn't heartbroken over being tricked and discovering her family was terrible. I kind of want them together but in reality if that ever happened I'd never forgive him and I don't think many people would. She only asked to die because she didn't want to cause trouble for him. She was a sheltered child and he was her first love and her world shattered. Thanks for listening to my TED talk (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

In her place I'd be mad at the whole world. My family who was unjust and caused this whole debacle. You reap what you sow right? I'd be mad at the people, just for the sake of being mad though cuz they are actually the real victims lol. I'd be mad at him and most definitely at myself and my ignorance. I know it's easy to say so when from a remote perspective and that if I were in her place I'd probably also turn out just like her, but it still irritated me how little she cared about the country. I don't she had siblings right? In that case wouldn't she be the household's successor? Or maybe her husband? Either way she was totally irresponsible and she definitely shares blame for her family and household's demise.

I think she did try to learn more but her father wouldn't let her. They probably did everything they could to make sure she didn't find out and would stay oblivious. She did know, however, that the land was poor and volunteered to help holt's homeland but she didn't know it was poor because of her family. Whether ignorance is a sin or not would depend on who's asking. I would probably be mad at myself and the world too though because if my ignorance and their anger at me without my knowing anything

From reading the novel I understood that she did not care about her studies at all. She only half-assedly tried because Holt asked her to. I guess the novel and the manga are kind of overlapping in my mind. I also don't remember her saying she would help his homeland. I thought she said she's go visit with him. As for her family holding her back from the truth, well I don't believe it. I don't think her family ever thought they were in the wrong. Most nobles think it's their birth right to claim their people's earnings and goods. So there was no reason for secrecy.

When your a teenage in love studies come second for most and she said she would ask her dad for fertilizer for the barren lands of helt's homeland but I think he made her change her mind or something. Also, yeah her parents didn't care about the people but they probably knew their daughter would. What parent would want to be known as the bad guy? All I'm saying is when your born sheltered and are not taught to be a ruler you don't know anything about your lands and that is normal to you. Her parents didn't care about the lands so they probably didnt bother teaching her. If no one around you was concerned for the land would you be if you never saw it? This is long af I'm sorry ( ̄∇ ̄") I got too into it I love debates

True, I tend to forget to factor age when thinking about a character's behaviour. A teenager in love or not is not always interested in their studies. I repeat however, it's doubtful her family believed they were the bad guys, so why would they be afraid of their daughter's reaction? If you believe to have done nothing wrong you have nothing to be afraid of. I forgot about the fertilizer part though, so I guess she did have sliver of awareness about the country's situation. She had tutors and she was receiving an education, saying her parents didn't bother teaching would just be implying they were neglectful and abusive when in fact they were very good to her and even spoiled her. The love her family had for her would probably be the main, maybe only, reason I'd never be able to forgive Holt. No matter what they did they were her only family and her loved ones that shit stings.
No worries about the comment/reply length, it's better to get it all out. I've also been getting a little too carried away in the comment section lately ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

True, he parents probably didn't think themselves as the bad guys. By not teaching her, I mean not teaching her of the condition of the people. She did admit ,however, she knew the land was poor and that her family was wealthy but she wouldn't have been able to do anything until she got older anyways. Even if when she did get older there was no guarantee that she would be the ruler. She probably would have gotten married off and her husband would rule. At least, that's how it is in most historical cases. I think she might have been indirectly using Helt to escape her reality. Or maybe she just didn't realize. I like our long conversation stranger (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

I like that you keep responding! It makes me kind of giddy! Unfortunately I have nothing more to say because I finally agree with you ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
She had some basic knowledge on the country's conditions and she couldn't/ wouldn't attempt anything. Helt did and although the outcome was horrible for him and her the country and its people are finally recovering.
I can't imagine what it would be like to die and then see the person who I had loved and who killed me. Being alive again after dying would suck
