The hospital I worked at years ago (in the US), would not discharge someone cause they could not pay. Yes, they would try to get them to pay afterwords, and if they couldn't pay, it would be written off, after being sent to a collections agency.
Cause like it really be like that here, going to the hospital is expensive as fuck even for a small fever that’s why most Americans tuff it out xD
