How is it selfish? Going out to look for him would be selfish. He's supposed to take the dukes position it would be absolutely ridiculous for them both to be gone while the person whose supposed to be a knight runs things and it would reflect really badly on them as a whole.
I feel bad for Uri. He just want to help them find his dad and lamia selfishly tells him to stay at castle and do nothing.
