I totally agree with you, jesse was getting into trouble to get joel's attention, he's not that bad of a kid only rebellious. Well joel is more, i dont deserve this shit, snd he doed prioritize his relationship with other people than his own son, (flashback with chase, like seriously he is barely legal you mf cop.)

I get that some people are siding with Joel, but he's barely worthy of any sympathy. If you didn't want a child in the first place? Wrap it before you tap it, my guy.
I get that he didn't want to start a family at that point in his life, but it happened so he needed to step up. He did try to some degree to be a father, but he wasn't a very good one. Not even close. He prioritised other people over his own son and made no effort to see things through Jesse's perspective. He's just all "woe is me. I don't deserve any of this..." Yeah Joel never asked for any of this, but neither did Jesse.
Personally I think Jesse has every right to be pissed and I was glad when he stood up for himself. Joel on the other hand. Calling Jesse his "enemy"? Claiming he shouldn't hate him? (Indicating that he does, but shouldn't) Fuck that guy. It shouldn't take a near death experience to make you value your child. I hope he at least tries to redeem himself though. Joel's still relatively young, so he still has a shot of maintaining and building his family.
