The funniest thing about these comments asking for yaoi and saying that they don't like straight sex, is that most are straight women. Cringe.

No offense, but statistically the majority of yaoi writers and readers are straight women. The whole genre is written with a target female audience in mind. It becomes really obvious when you compare yaoi with bara (fiction targeted for gay men). Yaoi often has a set "top" and "bottom," and the more submissive personality can often be straight up switched out for a woman with very little difference storywise. Yaoi sex is also more similar to sex in straight romance novels than bara- long foreplay, focus on top pleasuring the bottom, swap penis->clit, prostate->g spot, asshole->vagina it's all written the same. Why are straight women so attracted to gay stories? I'm not sure, and I am one.

(My personal current theory is after the feminist movement, women were pressured to feel shame if they wanted a traditional dominate man/submissive woman relationship, but with gay stories they can have all the cheesy "dominate man" tropes they like without feeling guilty about "perpetuating a stereotype." The porn but not porn aspect helps too)

Research shows that the vast majority of fujoshis are straight women. It's reality. And what makes me want to throw up is to see straight women talking like this about straight sex. Liking yaoi doesn't make you gay.

You can choose to be offended all you want but that won’t change the fact that she is right. Most woman who read yaoi are straight, statistically. You don’t have to be offended for someone when they, themselves don’t even care

Well, there’s no such thing as “ statistically”. When a research or an observation is ‘statistically’ analyzed(highlighting this word) that’s what you should call statistic. You didn’t do anything palpable to demonstrate the believe that you have. What I am defending is the fact that unless scientific methods are used you cannot be sure. What I get offended was the saying “cringe” because IT IS an insult. I don’t even care about if it’s true or not since I’m not straight and cannot be bothered with the topic anymore than this. But (to the last person who responded) you’re right I get offended in behalf of straight women which was unnecessary.

Straight sex is not always represented well in manga or some books....especially Japanese because woman are portrayed so sexually and loosely for male viewers. I don't know how many woman u know want to read about how Misaki spread her legs in the classroom for oppa but okay.

I don't care about fujoshi's opinion. Just go read yaoi and shut up.

Yeah, straight sex is seen in the market place as a male target area, like somehow women don't enjoy sex too. The main problem is men and women enjoy different parts of sex. Men like the physical aspects and "getting to the action" and don't care too much about the how or why. Women like the psychological aspect, the build up, and how characters interact with each other during sex is very important to them (they particularly like the "I want it, but I don't want to *say* I want it" trope, and gay stories fit very nicely with that). That's why men prefer short porn videos and women prefer 200 page harlequin novels. To men, female porn is long and boring and to women, male porn is crass, short and nonsensical.

Yeah and that's why most straight women I guess prefer yaoi. It's about the temptation and the desire and so forth. But drawn straight sex is never for women and is always usually trash, only reason most women might read it is for the romance and now a days that's barely existent so I feel like the orginal commenter as the disgusting pig they are could completely fuck off and stop judging people for their preferences. Some women don't want to see a shitting male character and a stupid whorey woman having sex. That's just how it is.
