I get what your sayin,
But I think what the author was going for was that if there is beauty on the inside then it will show on the outside . Like When they did the faith competition ,only people with good faith and hearts became pretty. I think that was what the author wanted to portray, but I definitely get what you mean , especially if it’s some ignorant person reading this they might actually take this to heart.
this is highly entertaining, but i am quite glad it's just fiction. the whole 'beauty is the most important thing in the world' thing makes me go :/ everytime i really think about it.
