I got that impression as well. The maid is probably not her mom. Even the ML's father reacted badly in the latest couple of chapters and it didn't seem to be the usual "oh no my son is getting together with a commoner", it seemed much deeper and more dangerous than that.
I want her to be a super important noble because that'll make her a better suited candidate and will make her life smoother without the scrutinty of everyone around them but if she is like the last daughter of a family that has been massacred or disgraced or whatever then it'd be too angsty for me
Is giving me major vibes that she’s actually a very very VEEEERY important noble of some sort, there were some hints that just stuck out and stabbed me to the point where my senses are tingling (Damn, his Majesty must have rubbed some of himself on me •~•)
