That’s a good question I think 小 to describe his personality not really his like height and everything. Or usually it’s the way it sounds when it’s being said, sometimes it wouldn’t feel right to use 大 and put it in someone’s name or nickname

(Should I use Xiao小 or Da大? It doesn't feel right to call 'little' because we have little Huan down there)
