To numb his pain and frustration? To try to move on when he saw how his love behaves cold towards him? Maybe because he too was scared to approach him and accept the fact that he is gay? He’s an imperfect human too but at least he now has the guts to confront him while the other party is still freaking reluctant and frustrating, causing pain to everyone
